If ever a house was utterly impressive, spectacular, modern, and full of light with incredible views from every corner and unbelievably decorated, then it can only be” The Glass House” by Nico Van Der Meulen Architects. This impressive home built over 26,000 feet in Johannesburg is just out of this world. The interior with its sunken lounge, timber clad lift tower, the dining room with its 6 meter high curved glass enclosure where each sheet of glass leans over further than the previous sheet, with glass fins holding it in position. The frameless glass folding doors start at the dining room, and stretch for nearly 70m around the dining room, atrium, family room, lanai, indoor pool and gym. I could go on forever, not to mention the exterior patios, pools, fountains art gallery these features are tied together with a rich, cohesive palette of rare stone and wood paired with extensive integrated lighting. It is architecture at its best, design and outstanding decoration just magnificent. I dare you to deny it!
