Lincoln Clarkes had always wanted this, that his work portraying life was to be about the photographs and who he is portraying, it’s not the photographer that is important in this case but the person the other side of the lens , the strength the beauty and the character. Today we have the chance to show you some of his work which was first exhibited in 1998.Heroines was and is the title of this magnificent exhibition dedicated to women addicted to heroin in a suburb of Vancouver, Canada. Lincoln through the photos shows the inner strength and beauty of its characters, real as life itself. A force that captures their mannerisms, appreciated in all their sequences, brutal but breathtaking, passionate, powerful, full of inner beauty and realism. A work that transmits, reports, displays and draws attention to society. I hope that is what has been achieved.
