Today the firm of architects, interior designers and design FFWD from Barcelona have sent us this project of a total reform that has been carried out in a house located in the famous area of Eixample Barcelona. It is a comprehensive reform while retaining the original structure and character, but modifying the distribution of spaces without losing its essence, making them more diaphanous to give a feeling of spaciousness and use of natural light in the rooms. They have respected the height of the ceilings in almost all of the spaces. They have also made the most of some of the original features such as the fireplace, wall surfaces of hydraulic slabs giving a vintage touch and the original pine wood interior providing a warm atmosphere. The protagonist is the central open space where the dining room and reading room with library is located the length of the room, the kitchen is visually connected to the dining room through a window sash to save space. The colors of the house are light to give breadth and warmth to the rooms. There are two bedrooms, a bathroom and a study. The project is complemented by a space created on the terrace with a low cost budget and which gives the homeowners a place outside in which to relax, a change of environment. The decor of the house is mainly based on vintage furniture with Nordic influence, contemporary pieces, highlighting pieces which are part of the family heirloom.
