Another incredible Project by LLI Design Southwood which was awarded “Best Interior Design Private Residence London” UK Property Awards – 2015 /16. In one of the most desirable areas of London Highgate is where LLI Design recently completed a total redesign and refurbishment of a 4 story 1970’s townhouse with its great potential and new young professional owners they wished to embrace the 1970’s feel but also wanted to jazz it up . This was just what LLI did creating light and space in the former dark circulation spaces, recreating staircases with an open tread glass and steel one. A bespoke fitted banquette and intelligent LED strips were just some points that were used to renovate the dining room which was finished by decorating it with strong pieces of artwork and graphic cushions. Pale khaki units and a cream composite worktop and a small breakfast bar with a backdrop of dark bronze tiles made up the kitchen before making their way to the first floor.
There we find a Living / TV room. The new open timber tread, steel stringer with glass balustrade staircase was designed to sit easily within the existing building and to complement the original 1970’s spiral staircase. Bright and colourful furniture as a counterpoint to the walls one which was decorated in brick effect wallpaper and the tiled floor a large format Mutina tile in dark khaki with an embossed design. Then there is also a super modern shower room and the master suite on the second floor.
The second floor was reconfigured from a series of separate rooms into a stylish master suite, with an open plan bathroom featuring a statement freestanding bath. An incredible combination of wallpaper, tiles and pale timber wide plank flooring not to mention the unbeatable views of the garden beyond, finished with specific pieces of furniture the end result is amazing.
