To start the year we would like to present a Project of reform in an apartment situated in Barcelona which was carried out by the studio of architecture and interior design FFWD formed by Laia and David. The apartment was reformed in the 80´s and was not in line with the ethics of the original line. So after careful and laborious cleaning actions leaving the flat bare and finding the original details and materials of its origin they began the process of giving it back a special character that the first reform had removed. Beautiful original Hydraulic floors, Mao brick walls and wooden beams a spectacular find and which helped to decide and contribute in the decisions of the future distributions. They modified the existing space making light one of the main focal points and removing Parts they felt unnecessary to increase the feeling of surface space by leaving diaphones spaces which are very pleasing to the eye. The new distribution and utilization of the exposed materials provide a feeling of well-being and warmth, combined with current materials it is a mixture of exceptional color. Overall a fantastic project with a fabulous new layout to be admired.
